Formulated specifically for demanding electrical and high-voltage applications, this dielectric silicone grease provides reliable insulation, sealing, lubrication, waterproofing, and corrosion protection. Its dielectric strength of 500 V/mil, equivalent to approximately 20 kV/mm, makes it well suited for protecting electrical contacts, terminals, connectors, cables, transformer components, and other areas exposed to high electric-field stress.

When applied to high-voltage surfaces, the silicone grease can help reduce corona discharge, surface leakage, partial discharge, and unwanted sparking. Filling small air gaps while excluding moisture and contamination can also reduce discharge activity around exposed conductors, sharp edges, insulation interfaces, cable entries, and electrical connection points.

A thin insulating layer may be applied over high-voltage resistors, diodes, capacitors, transformer terminals, and similar components to help suppress corona and mitigate surface arcing between exposed conductive points. This can be particularly beneficial where component geometry, humidity, contamination, or limited creepage distance encourages electrical discharge to travel across an insulating surface.

Common high-voltage uses include cable terminations, transformer connections, spark-gap assemblies, voltage multiplier circuits, capacitor terminals, bushings, feedthroughs, and electrode mounts. The grease is also suitable for battery terminals, spark plugs, and other electrical components requiring protection from moisture, corrosion, surface tracking, or discharge activity.

For improved environmental sealing, it may be used between overlapping insulation layers, inside suitable electrical connectors, around insulating rubber or silicone terminal covers, and at cable entry points. Negligible water solubility and resistance to water, oil, and chemicals help protect components in humid, contaminated, or changing environmental conditions.

Its thin, non-curing formulation remains soft and stable throughout a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +200°C. It will not harden, freeze, dry out, or melt as a result of normal temperature fluctuations, allowing the grease to accommodate movement, vibration, and thermal expansion without cracking like a rigid insulating compound.

Compatibility with most rubber and plastic materials makes the grease suitable for use around seals, gaskets, plastic insulators, and O-rings. Its combination of electrical insulation, lubrication, and environmental protection is valuable in high-voltage laboratory equipment, experimental circuits, flyback transformers, plasma systems, electrostatic equipment, ignition systems, and electrical repair work.

Supplied in a compact 5 ml precision syringe, the grease can be dispensed accurately in narrow spaces and directly around individual components. This packaging minimizes waste and makes it easy to apply a controlled amount wherever additional insulation, lubrication, sealing, or environmental protection is required.

Typical Applications:

  • Reducing surface corona and partial discharge
  • Reducing surface sparking and electrical leakage
  • Mitigating corona and surface arcing on high-voltage resistors, diodes, capacitors, and other exposed components
  • Protecting high-voltage terminals and connection points
  • Insulating cable ends, terminal covers, connectors, and feedthroughs
  • Protecting flyback transformers and high-voltage transformer connections
  • Insulating high-voltage diodes, capacitors, and voltage multiplier assemblies
  • Filling small air gaps at insulation interfaces
  • Waterproofing and sealing electrical connectors and contacts
  • Protecting battery terminals, spark plugs, fasteners, and electrical contacts from moisture and corrosion
  • Lubricating and sealing O-rings, rubber seals, gaskets, and plastic components
  • Protecting components against humidity, condensation, oil, chemicals, and contamination
  • High-voltage laboratory equipment, plasma systems, electrostatic devices, ignition systems, and experimental circuits

Application: Disconnect the power supply, ensure all stored electrical energy has been safely discharged, and allow hot surfaces to cool before application. Apply the grease to clean and dry surfaces as required.

Note: Practical insulation performance depends on application thickness, surface preparation, electrode geometry, operating environment, contamination, and the presence of air gaps. The grease can help mitigate corona, surface leakage, and surface arcing, but it should not be used as a substitute for adequate creepage distance, clearance, reinforced insulation, or solid insulation where these are required for electrical safety.

Not suitable for use with LPG, LNG, compressed oxygen, chlorine, or compressed-air systems. Do not use on hydraulic brake cylinder components.
