This 1m fiber optic cable is intended for reliable signal transmission between our Signal to Optical Bridge and Stackable MOSFET Switch Boards, providing a clean optical control link with full galvanic isolation between the control side and the high-voltage switching stages. By transferring the gate-control signal optically instead of electrically, the cable helps reduce susceptibility to ground loops, common-mode noise, voltage transients, and high-voltage interference, making it especially suitable for stacked high-voltage MOSFET switching systems.
The cable uses 1mm diameter step-index plastic optical fiber with a black polyethylene jacket and comes pre-terminated with latching simplex connectors. The latching connector style provides improved retention compared with standard non-latching connectors, making it a good choice for systems where the fiber connection should remain secure during setup, testing, and operation.
This cable is compatible with Versatile Link-style plastic fiber optic transmitter and receiver components and is well suited for short-distance board-to-board and intra-system optical data links. In high-voltage pulse systems, it provides an effective way to transfer timing and drive signals across isolation barriers while keeping the control electronics electrically separated from the high-voltage switching hardware.
