Designed for serious high-voltage work, this premium 100kV DC silicone cable combines a compact 0.5mm² conductor with an exceptionally thick multi-layer insulation system for demanding HVDC applications. The conductor is constructed from 19 × 0.19mm stranded tinned copper wire, corresponding approximately to 20 AWG, giving the cable a flexible and practical core while maintaining excellent electrical conductivity. Around the conductor, an inner FEP insulation layer is combined with two silicone insulation layers to provide strong dielectric performance, mechanical flexibility, and dependable long-term operation in high-voltage environments.
The cable has a substantial 17mm outer diameter, making it especially suitable for applications where insulation thickness and voltage withstand capability are critical. The inner FEP layer, a high-performance fluoropolymer insulation material similar to PTFE/Teflon, provides excellent dielectric properties, chemical resistance, low moisture absorption, and high-temperature performance, while the silicone insulation layers provide flexibility, mechanical protection, and additional high-voltage insulation.
