This 50 Ω BNC T-connector is designed for splitting a signal from a single source into two paths within standard 50 Ω coaxial systems. It is commonly used to route signals from function generators, RF sources, or pulse generators to multiple instruments such as oscilloscopes, counters, or spectrum analyzers.
The connector is available in multiple configurations, allowing you to select the variant that best fits your setup. Options include an all-male (3× male) version as well as a 1× female to 2× male version, making it easy to integrate into existing BNC cabling without additional adapters.
A common use case is splitting a signal from a function generator to multiple MOSFET switch boards when simultaneous switching is required. In such setups, it is important to disable the on-board 50 Ω termination resistors on the MOSFET switches, as multiple terminations in parallel will significantly reduce the effective load resistance and distort the signal.
Please note that while this T-connector works well for signal distribution into the low MHz range, it is not recommended for very high-frequency applications where strict 50 Ω impedance control is required. At higher frequencies, the T-geometry can disturb impedance matching and introduce reflections.
All variants feature standard 50 Ω impedance BNC interfaces and are well suited for laboratory, development, and test-bench environments where flexibility and quick signal access are required.
